Hands on with LG Optimus G Pro: Love at First Sight [MWC 2013]
The Optimus G Pro is the flagship which replaces the old Optimus G and in terms of size, it’s moving towards the Optimus Vu, but without a doubt, much better looking. The Optimus G Pro was introduced to the Korean public, providing 4G-LTE speeds as well as a host of new features, all wrapped in a very attractive Nexus 4-ish cover.

The Optimus G Pro packs a Big punch
We mean this literal, as it is a fairly big device, but to be honest, we could feel the difference between the Optimus G Pro and the ZTE Grand MEMO that we looked at earlier today, even if it is only 0.2 inches. The thickness of only 9.4 mm makes it fit snugly in the hand, but it does pose some problems if you want to use it with only one hand.- CPU: 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor which isn’t as powerful as the Grand MEMO, but it still handles anything you might throw at it pretty good.
- RAM: 2GB DDR which is more than enough to allow users to run as many apps as they want and not see any lag.
- Memory: 32GB / microSD (up to 32GB)
- Display: 5.5-inch Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080 pixels / 400ppi)
- Camera: Rear 13.0MP with LED Flash / Front 2.1MP
- OS: Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
- Battery: 3,140mAh (removable / wireless charging capable)
- Size: 150.2 x 76.1 x 9.4mm
The Android 4.1.2 that operates the phone has some great custom features, like the possibility for pinch-to-zoom in video or, like with the Galaxy S III, the video (or any app for that matter) can be minimized. One other interesting feature that caught our eye is the shortcut button on the side of the phone, where users can set up an app to open when they press it.
One other feature we’ve seen is the Dual Recording that allows users to record with both rear and front camera at the same time. This is especially useful for those who do a lot of reviews, and this feature will allow them to film both the object they are reviewing and to see/record themselves at the same time.
